The Central Bank calls on bank card holders to be vigilant
Through official sources, social networks and television, citizens are regularly warned that one-time SMS codes, logins and passwords that give access to mobile and web applications cannot be requested by bank employees, and therefore such data cannot be provided to anyone. However, there are cases of deception among citizens who fall under the psychological influence of scammers. For example, when strangers call your mobile phone on behalf of the Central Bank, commercial bank, payment organization or payment system operator, introducing themselves as an employee of the security service, plastic card department or customer support department and reporting that attempts of illegal withdrawal have been detected funds from your card, that the card is blocked or your mobile application is hacked and you need to immediately take action to avoid the loss of existing funds and have various psychological impacts using social engineering. The Central Bank warns and urges citizens to increase their vigilance and prevent funds from being written off from bank cards through various fraudulent activities.Never provide suspicious persons with a one-time SMS code sent to your phone number associated with bank cards, logins and passwords that give access to mobile applications of commercial banks, payment system operators and payment organizations. Having received information from you (SMS code, login and password, etc.), scammers will take advantage of the opportunity to transfer funds from your bank card or manage them without your permission.Don't fall for these kinds of tricks from scammers.
